About

TorchGeo is a PyTorch domain library designed to provide datasets, samplers, transforms, and pre-trained models for geospatial data. It was created as an internship project at Microsoft's AI for Good Lab in 2021. Since then, TorchGeo has been adopted by a diverse community of researchers from academia, industry, and government research institutions. In 2025, a new TorchGeo Organization was founded to manage TorchGeo and related projects. Our mission is to make it simple for machine learning experts to work with geospatial data, and for remote sensing experts to explore machine learning solutions.
